Who am I

The law of conservation of energy is a physical law that states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but only converted from one form to another. This is a law that sticks to me like a thorn on a wool blanket. The full intensity of this physical law is what helps drive me on a day to day basis. If almost everything in this world we find ourselves in contains energy, whether used or stored energy, energy must be a vital thing in this universe! Think of some plants that become dormant during winter or even seeds that can be stored for many years and when conditions become favourable again the plant/ seed becomes lively again. All this research about energy gave birth to the following question in my mind: Who am I?

Closely focusing on the human race only, we are physically made of matter. The matter in our bodies is made up of elements like hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, calcium and etc. These elements are build-up of protons (positively charged), neutrons (neutral) and electrons (negatively charged) on an atomic level, which boils down to a constant flow of energy. We nourish our bodies with food in order to obtain the stored energy. This energy is used to sustain all of the seen and unseen processes in our physical body. When our physical bodies stop working we on the other hand provide energy to micro-organisms like bacteria.

Deep in the psyche of the human mind we find the metaphysics which harbours the soul/ spirit. This is truly also energy so thus it falls under the law of conservation of energy. This then means that the energy from the soul of a human is immortal. Consider the energy that is used to control one's own thinking as an example. So keeping the entire above mentioned in mind I came to the conclusion that I am a mere vessel of energy! But that small amount of energy can be put to great use. This energy was bestowed onto me to put in to use to better humanity.

As you already know by now that one question always leads to a next. So the question: what defines me and why was raised? Energy constantly flows. There is a give and take of energy as we move through our moment in time. Think of it in this way, the energy from the first cry as a baby is still somewhere one earth. I conclude that the constant flow of energy defines me, because I have the ability to give and receive positive vibrational energy. I just need to choose the right energy to be embodied in my soul.

If I now know who I am and what defines me and why, then what do I stand for? To get an answer for this question I needed to take a nostalgic road trip through my memories. Being a teacher has imposed many lesson of great value to me as a person. My first teaching job was horrible for a week. In my mind I thought that I had to be this meanie ruling the class dictator style. Trust me if you do that it sets you on a walk through the Jurassic Park. That weekend I thought a lot about this: Children are not children; they are adults in the making that needs to be led so that they can become great citizens in time. I changed the way I managed the class and The Nightmare on Elm Street turned into Cinderella. I recall this specific scenario: Stanley was a boy in my classroom; I asked him what he wants to do after school. He said he wants to be taxi driver. I told him as long as he becomes the best taxi driver the world has ever seen. From that day on that boy had so much respect for me he was saddened when I resigned. So by my design I stand for growth and empowerment of myself (charity begins at home) and all the people that crosses my path.

What am I here for? My goal here is to make a positive impact on others, environment and the life journey as a whole. Through life we perceive situation as good or bad. I now understand that a situation is just a situation, but I have the energy vested in me to react in a certain way to situations. This is my life testimony and I want to inspire others to do better and I want others to inspire me to be better. Even toxic people inspire me to be better. How? I am inspired not to react the way they do.

Last question that originated in my mind in relation to this topic was what is holding me back? Absolutely nothing, because I have the energy vested in me to be great yet humble.

In the end, I am energy: constant, vibrant, and purposeful. I am the echo of every lesson, every transformation, every act of kindness I give and receive. The law of conservation of energy isn’t just etched in physics textbooks; it reverberates through my being, reminding me that my essence is never lost—only transformed through every connection I make, every soul I touch.

So, if energy cannot be destroyed, then let mine ripple outward in waves of compassion, wisdom, and light. Let it be remembered not by how fiercely it burned, but by how generously it warmed others. That is my power. That is my purpose. And in that knowing, I choose to rise again and again.
